Finished a real time visualization and took the model to Octane to play with it for the first time. Glass and water were very important for this scene but both were needed to be left behind for the moment.
I'm sorry for the low res test at just 256 samples/pixels. 9600M GT here - about 7 hours for the 130 frames
I'll get a workstation in a while.

The work up until now is mostly yours. This thread is more likely a PIP (play in progress). Nothing much to see here but, for those addicted to flipbooks like me, here is a small fix until we get a real one

I grabbed the 1.022 2.2 and more 7 hours with 410 samples/pixel for the same 130 frames. I realised I could go with only 2 light bounces since it is mostly outdoor. Of course now I use the clay mode, but gloss didn't impact that much as the extra bounces in the first moment (default 7).

Scan, I used the trial of Premiere CS5. I haven't thought that much about cheap video publishing yet since now I work mostly with real time applications and used to work with Premiere at my previous work. But your search without results is unsettling. If I find anything, I'll message you.
That's pretty rad. I am guessing you just rotated the HDR image? Really good use of the software capabilities considering your GPU limitations.
