One minor issue(happens with default Andy as well). Moving the "daylight" around doesn't cause the render to update unless I first switch to texture environment and then back to daylight. Using version 1.25.0.17
Main System Specs: Win7 x64 SP1, Dual Xeon X5650, 24GB DDR3, GTX 590 Driver 326.41, Poser Pro 2012 SR3.1 and Poser Pro 2014
I think the 1.20 light structure is in your default rendertarget. New scene->run plugin->change from daylight to texture environment->daylight->rightclick->Save as Default. One minor issue(happens with default Andy as well). Or you can delete your rendertarget.por file (same location as config.xml).

When I use the texture environment comes a perfect picture. As soon as I change the rotation remains the image grainy even after x samples. Only when I press refresh a normal render builds up. This is very laborious in complex scenes because I like to illuminate with texture environment and the rotation is essential.

Have you deleted you default rendertarget settings as recommended in the release notes at the top of this thread? It's possible that your default rendertarget is a 1.20 version, which is not working right with 1.25.When I use the texture environment comes a perfect picture. I have deleted the default render setings (in the release notes I could not read anything about default render target settings, maybe I'm blind) but the problem still exists.face_off wrote:Have you deleted you default rendertarget settings as recommended in the release notes at the top of this thread? You are right - I appear to have deleted that line!I have deleted the default render setings (in the release notes I could not read anything about default render target settings, maybe I'm blind) but the problem still exists.
Could you pls try exporting the scene to Octane Standalone, and then see if rotating the map in Standalone is giving you the same issue? That way we will know if it's an Octane issue or a plugin issue.
Also, does turning Importance Sampling off then on help?

I noticed the rotation and refresh problem as well.
It turned out to be probable old settings. I had rendered that scene before a long time ago in an older version of Octane. Changing to environment and back to daylight cured the problem.
One reason why I think this was an old settings problem was because the sundir value was "sunlight direction" and not the rotation values

I have exported the scene to OctaneRender 1.26, but the problem was there 1:1 as in the plugin. But off and on the importance sampling according to a rotation helps to smooth the image.face_off wrote:You are right - I appear to have deleted that line!I have deleted the default render setings (in the release notes I could not read anything about default render target settings, maybe I'm blind) but the problem still exists.

But I think it should still work even without such actions.
