It depends on the host application. The only ABC file I have seen yet which contained material assignments was coming from 3DS Max + Exocortex Crate. Can you attach some file exported from Maya?

I was playing with a test animated mesh, and it works, but I don't get any motion blur, is that normal? Does the motion blur works only for the camera movement?
And, how do you render out the animation?

WHOA! I have a crash.
It happens systematically every time I try to move the animation slider.
Roeland, I cannot post here the file, so I will send it to you by a Private Message.

There is unfortunately no material data in this file. Did you have different materials on the faces of the cube?p3taoctane wrote:Roeland_Material_Test_ABC.abc

OK, thanks. This is a bug in the geometry updates, and will be fixed for the next release.Rikk The Gaijin wrote:WHOA! I have a crash.![]()

Gidday Roeland
Yep each face had a different material on it.
It says that Maya 2014 is supposed to export materials as part of it's ABC export... I'll see what I can find out
Thanks

I think there is a problem importing animated alembic scenes from modo. I can't get it to work.
