Hi,

I've got a new problem, i'm sure that I'm missing something... but.. I need your help :)

Here's my problem : everything is ok while i'm working on my scene, in the live viewer. But when I'm launching the final render... the picture turns very bright, as you can see on the screenshot.

Any clue?

Well... I found a solution, but I'm still misunderstanding...

I changed my setting to pathtracing and everything was ok... then, i changed it back to Direct Light... and everything was still ok...

Am I running mad?

I think this is the linear workflow thing I had so much fun with... render in 16bit in the picture viewer or update scene/textures to full Linear workflow. search forum for 'linear workflow'

Also check you're cam tag/cam imager if enabled it will overwrite the global cam settings

cheers

Ok... Linear workflow will explode my files size :/

I'll try the 16 bits thing, and the "technic" i found with pathtracing / Direct Light.

Thanks a lot, I hope it will works fine (but i keep in mind the linear workflow thing, then).

I"m seeing similar behavior with white balance when using multipass, turning off multipass fixes the white balance issue. I'm using non-linear color.

I am having the same problem.

I can't find anything about multipass in the manual. I also can't find the octane multipass setting in C4D.

Please help

there is a short info but enough i think. Your viewed images will be brighter but it must seem correctly when you open in a editing program.

hi,
i had this strange issue too a couple of times. suddenly the final rendered image is much brighter and "washed out" as the preview in liveviewer.
my workaround is to copy the whole scene into a new projectfile. then there is no difference between the octane-liveviewer and the renderd picture in the picturemanager again.
