Aha perfect
! This was one of the thing I loved when I first saw the images coming from Maxwell and Fryrender beside being Unbiased.

note that the first beta's will also include support for traditional raytracing (without global illumination), eg directlighting,
and also ambient occlusion.
that gives people more options for quick previewing during editing and rendering animations in very short times.
i'm also going to include options to turn the spectral light computation on/off,
so you can get an even bigger speed (nearly 2x) by rendering with traditional RGB color calculations,
at a slight cost of realism.

That gonna be perfect for quick-check of geometry and animation
Amazing work sir
For everyone who dont know what's "Glare" here's a good article about it with plenty examples http://tolas.wordpress.com/2008/08/21/glare/
(quick edit not related: that can be a good scene to test renderspeed there's even a tutorial http://tolas.wordpress.com/2009/01/26/light-traps/)
(edit: rendering pass like alpha channels and z-depth gonna be fast as hell using raytracing ?)
