thanks Miru, and for pic also!
I see one problem. I dont have those last 2 settings: medium and matte.
Am I supposed to add a ground material to be able to see that? I think I had the ground invisible
. Do I have to have ground visible to get a shadow? I know that sounds funny maybe, but I just was
hoping for a shadow to add to a future ground.
ps anyone: - can I see actual octane nodes in poser for octane?
thanks!

Convert your material to "diffuse". Those pins are not present on "glossy" or "specular" materials.I dont have those last 2 settings: medium and matte.
I haven't used "matte" myself, but I'm guessing you will need the Poser ground visible.Do I have to have ground visible to get a shadow?
There has been an option to see the Octane nodes on some of the plugin versions, however the display window allowed the nodes to be deleted which then corrupted the link back to the plugin node Settings and Material "trees", so for the moment it has been removed.can I see actual octane nodes in poser for octane?

It doesn't have to be the ground plane, you can assign the diffuse matte material on any object/material you like.gold wrote: Am I supposed to add a ground material to be able to see that? I think I had the ground invisible

But if you use the ground, it has to be visible, yes. (Otherwise it wouldn't be transferred to the plugin)
