OcDS PROBLEMS RESULTING IN CRASHES - read & post here...

If i double click file, my scene open, same if i use merge from menu, but animation render just 13 frames and start repeating same frame over and over.

Having the saw problem that was mentioned about exiting DAZ Studio and Studio isn't starting up right now after updating the Octane plugin

On exit of Studio a Octane Render message appears saying shutting threads. Graphic in messege just spins and nothing happens. DAZ Studio never shuts down and has to be shut down by use of the Windows Task Manager. Had this happen 4 out of 5 times.

Studio takes longer to start up and now tends to freeze up on start up and had to be closed via Task Manager once after updating. Studio loads up fine till it gets to reading assets and putting Genesis into the default start up right before the getting started message appears in DAZ Studio. Studio will start up or get frozen at this point.

Testing showed a freeze up 3 times and loaded and started only twice on 5 tries.

Removed updated files and Studio started with no problems So the plugin was causing the start up problems.

Octane version: 1.0.113.2305 32-bit
Windows 7 32 Bit
Daz Studio 32-bit 4.6.0.18

Went to do a reinstall of Octane since the previous version didn't have these problems and installer now does nothing after you accept the agreement.

Jay_NOLA same here, if you want activate again your execute this file OctaneACM.exe, is located in your DAZStudio4 folder.

Activation isn't the problem.

I can't get the 1.10 installer to work correctly now. I removed the files I had to replace for the update and went to rerun the installer so I could get the older versions of those files back and nothing happens after I click to accept the agreement and select next. Turning off UAC and the anti-virus program didn't resolve the reinstall not working problem. So I can't use Octane with DAZ till I can get it reinstalled.

do you see a new screen after clicking next on the eula page? if not it seems the installer can't identify the daz studio paths after the 4.6 update - need to check this; if you at least see the next page but can't continue (e.g. because of no listed studio versions), you may use the "unpack" button to extract the 3 octane base files - if you don't see it, i'll provide you a .zip... please send me a pm if you need it...

Thats EXACTLY the issue I was having..I could not get to the nxt page with the unpck option..

Anyone else getting a hang when exiting DS from the last upgrade of OcDS. DS 4.5.16
This screen sit for more than 5 min and never goes away have to kill the Ds process.

sadly a lot ppl apparently; on various occasions, when starting, loading, closing. the (single) reason is identified and i'm currently working on the fix. should arrive within a day or two (if all goes well, etc.) together with another fix for animation rendering, and a fix for the disappearing material links...
