Yes i think it don't work at all with rotation) modo has different matrix, need to understand relations between them.

Uploaded new one on first post with rotation fix. Seems it works.

Good stuff! The fix works.

UPDATE: I thought there was another bug, but after more testing it seems to work fine. I'm not sure why I was getting an extra instance before

Script grabs position of meshes, locators, lights etc. You might accidentally select folder too.

Little trick:
You can export Area Lights by changing their size by scale(important),but not by width and height parameters. Stay to default 1m to 1m.
Then you should create mesh similar to light size(1m to 1m).
Select lights and export data through script.
