Do you not see the "OctanePlugin.mll" there?phaskins wrote:The install seemed to go very fast and said it had finished. I loaded up Maya to look under the plug-in manager but Octane doesn't seem to show up.
Have you checked the checkbox in the installer next to your Maya version?

-No OctanePlugin.mll shows up.
-I checked the Maya version for Maya 2013 x86
I did install the 64 bit version of the standalone version of Octane. Do these need to match?
I checked the paths C:\Users\paul\Documents\maya\2013.5 and C:\Program Files (x86)\Autodesk and didn't see anything related to Octane. However, I did see and uninstaller file.

No....
However my path would be C:\Program Files (x86)\Autodesk\Maya2013.5\bin\plug-ins
I'm wondering if the install is getting confused because of the .5 on the end of the Maya2013 folder name.
Installer gets the path from the registry.phaskins wrote:No....

Can you check the MAYA_INSTALL_LOCATION key in the registry at path HKLM\SOFTWARE\Autodesk\Maya\2013\Setup\InstallPath, what value it has? Or perhaps you do not have this path and have the HKLM\SOFTWARE\Autodesk\Maya\2013.5\Setup\InstallPath instead?..
