You guys could make an update to 2.xx version so the autentication method would be compatible with the 3.xx licenses.

You should already be able to activate 2.xx using Octane V3 licenses but obviously not the other way around.

When are you adding pascal support for 2.x (1000 series)?
The Cuda Toolkit 8 is already out. Is it not just to recompile with the new tool-kit?

Will do that next week.

ok but I really want you modify max samples per pixel from 256k to infinity (0 as continuous)!!

We will bump it up to 1000000 samples/pixel. Anything beyond that doesn't make sense since the limited numerical precision will make that addition of a small number to a large number have no effect. I.e. at that point, additional samples will be calculated, but not recorded in the film buffer anymore. If you really need more samples/pixel, you should probably fix your scene (anything beyond 40000-50000 samples/pixel is already unusual) or use a different render engine since Octane is then obviously not able to render this scene in any reasonable amount of time. If you insist on using Octane and going beyond 1000000 you could render multiple images and save them as OpenEXR images and then stack them in Photoshop or something similar.

Ok but "continuous" is especial for normal caustics or sharp caustics at dot/thin light, at our sun, at light laser... If the noises aren't good and/or the caustics rendered are less visible than real-life at 256k spp for caustics only then I really want "continuous"(when the image gets few noises or almost no noises, I'll pause to render ;)) from 256k spp.

But I don't deserve "caustic blur"!

Still noises despite 256k spp - example is https://blenderartists.org/forum/showth ... -in-Cycles - about glass' spheres and mirrors in fog -> follow I'm nuninho's user

NOTE: I don't care animation but yes few images rendered. ;)

Probably yes at our sun but if we get still noises then we try more spp. ;)
