Thanks for the reply,
the problem is that when i render through the render queue , the time it takes to build the mesh is twice as long as when rendering within picture viewer, i have found a work around using pv render queue 2 great little plugin !

Hi There
Hope someone can suggest a work around for a problem I'm encountering .
when i render within c4d not render queue, octane doesn't have re gen the mesh each time, but when I'm rending in render queue it re gens the mesh every frame adding an extra min to each frame ?
any help would be ...

you are able to do this in c4d, using the back front option on the material tag without having to extrude or dupe the face. But it dosnt seem to be possible with octane. No probs, appreciate your time.

I'm a bit stuck, I need to add two different materials to a plane object front an back, am I missing something, as I cant seem to make it work.
