Re: What is Compiling Mesh/voxelizing all about?
Most of the times it is a export problem. Du you use the blender export script?
Excellent, that was it I guess, I used the script and it went through voxelizing smoothly! Previously I just selected meshes and exported them to obj without using the script. Don't know where the difference lies ...

What is Compiling Mesh/voxelizing all about?
Hi there, can someone help me out with this? I'm trying to get to understand what is compiling mesh/ voxelizing all about, why is it a stage at which octane sometimes crashes and sometimes not, and what to do to avoid this issue? Are there any dos and donts when exporting to obj that you shold bear ...

Re: best video card for octane
The GTX470 is not a good buy as you can get a 2GB GTX460 much cheaper and it's nearly as fast. (with the much welcome 2GB of memory instead of 1.2GB.

I see, so what would you recommend then in the long run: 2GB GTX460 or to go the whole hog and buy Gigabyte 1,5GB GTX480 which costs ...

Re: best video card for octane
and how about gtx470? is there a huge difference between gtx470 and gtx480? pricewise, gtx480 costs about 130-150€ more afaik..
so, is it worth paying more for gtx480 card considering overall performance with octane?

Re: Questions about octane
Hi there, I've got a question concerning Octane licence. I want to buy this renderer, that's for sure, but here is my problem: a little bit embarassing, I know, but I'm currently running my machine on 32bit vista; It will be however replaced with 64bit system (either win7 or ubuntu) soon. So, if I ...
