Re: Octane X for Mac with AMD!!!
Hi octane devs! Are you able to give any updates about Octane X for Mac?
How are you finding AMD cards compare with Nvidia in render speed? If you could give us any ideas how octane bench is scoring on AMD that would be great.
Thanks!

Re: CUDA error 700
Thank you for your advice with this Beppe, it fixed my same cuda 700 error.
I had the most up to date drivers installed - 418.91 but this caused octane to have cuda 700 error. You advice of installing driver 391.35 fixed it.
How does everybody know what driver version to use?
Is it best that I ...

Thank you for your replies everyone.
When I first read that thread, I thought it was just an issue with the Asus WS X99 motherboard. But maybe you are right and these issues would also happen with the Asus WS Z390 Pro. Hard to know without buying it
It's tricky building a PC.

Re: New Workstation - advice please
Can you get EVGA GTX 1080ti Hybrids instead for the GPU?
I have read having 4 cards like the one you have selected next to each other would cause the cards to throttle. Where hybrids are better at keeping temps on the cards low so no throttling.
Example of 4 hybrids here...

16 lane PCIe CPU with 4GPU in PLX motherboard a bad idea?
Hi,
I'm trying to work out what motherboard to get for the new i9 9900K CPU (16 lane PCIe).
I've seen this Asus WS Z390 Pro...
https://edgeup.asus.com/2018/z390-motherboard-guide-coffee-lake-8-core/5/#wspro
It says it has PLX chips to support 4GPUs at x8/x8/x8/x8
Sounds great, but is it actually ...

I've found out an isometric camera for octane in Cinema4D can be made with these settings...
camera projection: Parallel camera
camera rotation...
H: 45. (or -45, 135 etc)
P: 35.264 (or -35.264)
B: 0
this was found out with this thread...
