Hi,

I'm wondering, I have a laptop that has an IGPU and a dedicated 5090... Is there a way where I don't have to render the same scene on the dedicated GPU both for unreal viewport AND octane at the same time? I.e. have unreal run off of IGPU but force octane to use dedicated GPU.. I mean the issue might be Unreal Engine going straight to dedicated GPU when available, but I can force Unreal to only use integrated one via softsware, but then Octane also fails to notice there is a dedicated card present..

Do you think there could be a way to implement this?

I suppose the same logic would apply if there were 2 GPU's in a system - have the primary one be used for Unreal while only using the secondary one for Octane..

Cheers,

Jani

Interesting question! I’ve run into similar GPU conflicts before—Octane usually lets you pick a specific device in the settings, but getting Unreal to stick to IGPU while keeping Octane on the dedicated card can be tricky
