Texture streching with object

Hi All

I am fairly new to Octane and have and issue I guess is related to object space and world space.

When I put a texture on an object it stretches when scaled and scale applied.

how to prevent that ?

or how to set world space this is my test test setup

Any comments appreciated

Hi, you need to redo UV mapping for this object or scale down (using 3d transformation) the axis that is stretching.

Thank you for your feedback.

I have added the box projection and set it to word space but no change.

The reason I use the projection is not having to do the unwrapping on certain objects.

Do I really have to change the displacement height for every object and end up with multiple copies ?

Texture displacement needs properly unwrapped mesh. I does not work with any other projections other than UV projection.

Manually unwrapping is impossible for us because we have CAD assemblies of hundreds of parts.

But I found this amazing software. Works perfectly fine for us.
