Hi everyone!
I was searching for how to use a specific hdri environment from a single material only while maintaining another hdri for the rest of the scene and I found this video on youtube from the user "Milan M"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=opRHoXP ... nel=MilanM

This is exactly the result I'm looking for but there's no clue on how to reach this result. Maybe the creator of the video is here and can share how he did it? That would be wonderful for me and I'm sure for many others as well. I searched on the forum but I can't find nothing related to this...

Just connect directly HDR image texture to specular input using spherical world texture projection. Set color space to non-color data or gamma=1.

Linear transfer function it is (mistakenly known as Gamma 1.0) since "non-color-data" is for a different type of input source (i.e. data maps).

Sorry for coming back to this matter. Using the hdr texture as map for the specular is not working since it only works as a mask for the specular itself (as expected).
Does anyone have a workaround for this?

You can easily disable HDRI environment from object tag using light linking "e".

Thank you for the reply. Yes, I know that but unfortunately that's not what I asked in the first place

In Redshift every material can have individual reflection environment, unfortunately in Octane you can only enable/disable one ENV but as I know there is no way to have two different. I tried to do something using RaySwitch node without success even using big sphere to simulate additional env.

Yeah, that's so sad. As you can see in the video I linked into the first post, it should be possible somehow...if only we could contact that "Milan M" guy.... :(

OK it's done ! I forgot that emission can have it's own light link id :) Two invisible spheres as HDRI envinronments with two different emmisive materials.
