Hi There, just like the subject line says, I am looking to link the Octane time variable (on some material node types, such as "procedural effects") to Poser's frame number. Basically, I'd be looking to animate a flame or snowfall or portal, stuff like that.
Alternatively, is there a way to animate changes in material settings generally? The "sun" is linked to a Poser infinite light, so presumably yes?
Link Octane Time Variable To Poser Frame #?

Thanks I'll give it a shot! I can't believe I haven't tried this feature yet.
So, I think I figured out why I never used dial linking. It doesn't seem to show up in my materials tab, and to my knowledge it's never been there for me (see attached image). Unless I am doing something wrong or need to check something for it to show up?
*Edit: I got it working. There's a checkbox in "Setup" that needs to be checked. For some reason it was unchecked on my end. Thanks for the help though I am glad I got this working.
