Hey there,
I'm cloning spheres on a sphere with copy to points and a attribrandom on Cd.
When I try to decode the Cd value for octane with the ppm map, the spheres just turn yellow.
I think I'm missing the instance attribute, but not sure where to create it.
Probably a dumb question, but I'm pretty new to houdini.

Hey Alex,
yeah, you'll need to enable Pack and Instance on the CopyToPoints SOP and also Packed Geo Instancing for the object on the Octane - Properties tab.
If you don't need instances, you can simply pass the Cd attribute to Octane / Octane tab - Attributes Point float and Point vector set to Cd. In this case you'll need a Color Vertex Attribute with Cd in the name field connected to baseColor (diffuse) for the material to work.
