Hello guys,
Is there any possibility to gradually reduce the clones scale in the Octane scatter when using vertex map or any other selection tag? So that for example the grass size gradually fades out on the selection borders to reach more realistic look. Something like a field but over the polygon or vertex map selection.
Forest Pack Pro easily can do this in Max but I haven't seen such possibility in C4d. Something like the attached image:

Check this - mask & size by spline edge. It's better for arch viz like grass cutting by curbs, road edges etc:
you can also make it by vertex the same way.

Corrected version by vertex map :
but this vertex map and remapping field shoud be inverted

Special thanks man, that's perfect indeed. yesterday I was in hurry I accidentally found the GSG tutorial related tutorial which uses the vertex map method. But I am interested in your first method as well. I appreciate it.
No problem. Can you post link to that tutorial ? I'd like to see maybe something newHightechmech wrote:Special thanks man, that's perfect indeed. yesterday I was in hurry I accidentally found the GSG tutorial related tutorial which uses the vertex map method. SSmolak,
Do you know some strategies for animating 3d gradient opacity on 3d objects? I am trying this method but it doesn't work correctly on 3d objects:

On a simple plane it works well but not on 3d objects, is it related to Octane?
