I'm using latest stable 2020.2.4-R2.
If I give each object an object tag and a unique LayerID, and enable crypto pass ObjectNodeName, every object has the same color assigned to it in the cryptopass. Is there something else I'm missing? I am rendering EXR(Octane).
Cryptomatte ObjectNodeName broken?

Per the documentation, ObjectNodeName only works in Standalone; it is not available as an option with c4doctane. Please see here:

Thanks. I totally missed that huge disclaimer in yellow.
But Render ID passes are now gone, so what is the best way to get passes in groups again? Other than materials.

Aside from using the same materials, the best choice would be to choose Edit in Standalone... from the File menu in Octane dialog and then setup your Cryptomatte there. Someone else may have a better option, but that is all I can come up with at the moment...
