Hi there,

sorry for my ignorance but is there someway to remove a object from reflecting in another object?

ie I'd like to not have the floor reflect in the glossy cube, but I can't use a Shadowcatcher material as i'd like to keep a reflection on the floor and I'm pretty sure Shadowcatchers don't have a roughness setting.

Hopefully that makes sense.

Thanks in advance.

Anyone got any ideas, or is it out of the scope for Octane?

Yes you can, using the Ray Switch Texture node:

This tip is priceless! First I ever heard of the Ray Switch node. How long has it been in Octane Blender and was there ever any norice of this being added (and when)?

Please please please get the documentation updated.

Many of us learn by scouring the manual to see what features are included. Forum posts are very hard to keep track of for fundamental info on what is included in the program and how to use it.

How great it would be to have a survey of nodes, like this one, which are entirely under the radar, for many users.
