maybe i`m doin it wrong, but i cannot get the baked image node to work....
i`m trying to mix two materials (by attribute) while mixing also two different displacements.
see attachment...
As i cannot use the displacement directly on the materials and mix the displaced mats, i have to mix the displacement sparately and wire into the material mixer... but this is documented as working only with baked image tool... by howerver i use it the displacement mixing only works with external images or cops... but i`d like to avoid baking the attributes into copimages, as this is quite slow!!
any hints in the right direction highly appreciated!!!

Tool Baked Image doesnt seem to work

The vertex displacement supports displacement for procedurals. You don't need to bake them. What I'm not sure if it is possible is to control the mixer node from attributes. I remember a limitation related to this, but I'm not sure if it has been resolved.

thanks juanjo,
ahh you´re right...
But unfortunately, it doesnt work when i use vertexAttributes as diplacementMixer weight... hmm
And also it´s not possible to texture mix any Map/Procedural/rgbColor by attribute and use it as displacement texture directly (even without material mixing)
(although i can see the mix by piping into diffuse)
am i doing something wrong here?
many thanks
