Hello everybody.
First of all I'm sorry, I can't put this post where it belongs but it just lets me open a new post in this group.
My problem is that when I use octane inside cinema 4d and put a spotlight, the beam from that spotlight leaves a black spot in the ambient occlusion, I understand that this is because by default this type of light creates a fog, but I am not capable to deactivate the fog or get me to remove that black beam in the ambient occlusion.
Someone could tell me how it can be solved
Thank you very much, greetings.
Cinema 4d plugin Spots light, ambient oclusion problem.

Hi,
you need to remove the Scattering medium node in the attributes of the Spotlight, or adjust its values to have a more correct volumetric effect:

Thanks for answering so quickly.
I think the error is there, but in light settings I do not get the light medium options. Also if I get into the nodes I get the nodes without links, and even if I delete them I still have the same problem. Here I leave you screenshots of the ambient occlusion (Sorry, I don't know how to upload them directly to the forum)

Ok, now the issue is more clear.
The solution is to replace the Volume SpotLight with a normal Area Light with reduced dimensions, and add the new Spotlight Distribution node in the Distribution pin: Here is an example scene: ciao Beppe
