Running into a major problem compositing in AE and wanted to see if this was a common issue.
I had to render a path/fix for a sequence. About 40 frames or so. When reloading the EXR all the crypotmattes reset... on. every. sing. layer. Is this common?
But the major issue is those new frames have a completely different colors in both the object and material nodes. So when making a matte, it either works for the first 320 frame and not the last 40, or it works for the last 40 and not the first 320.
I tried to split the layers and composite the last 40 frames separately, but long-term this is def unsustainable since some compositing projects become quite heavy.
Any help is appreciated! thanks

You can find the same posts if you search. You have to use objectname, materialname passes for xpnsistency.

Hi,
you need to use MaterialNodeName or ObjectNodeName, instead of simple MaterialNode or ObjectNode, they works in different ways, please have a look at here:

All the materials are different in the project, and yet the color matte shows them to be the same. So its impossible to chose an individual item.
