Hi, I believe I used to be able to use C4D-style material stacking with Octane, but I can't get it working.

I am 'stacking' materials with alpha channels in the C4D stack (Object view), but instead of layering, the topmost material is taking over and making everything transparent based it its opacity map.

I know there are other methods to accomplish this with Octane, but I'm wondering if this method still works? Or if I am missing something?

I would like to be able to layer multiple materials that are emissive and have alpha channels, and it seems neither Layered or Composite support this?

Hi,
in my opinion, the Composite Material is perfect for this case, you have much more control, and it is seen as single material by C4D:

Thanks Beppe, my mistake - and yes I agree Composite is a much easier method!
