Not sure when exactly this happened? With Octane being so fast as is, I honestly didn't notice. Not until testing for some optimizations recently. I turned it on and off and there were no longer any differences in the render times. This was a scene that saw a near 50% decrease in render times before. RTX ON.

Could this be a change in the NVIDIA Studio driver? I am running 442.92.

Are you sure that it is the same scene that was rendering faster before? For example, the motion blur enabled can disable the RTX acceleration.

Thanks,

Oh that might be it. I do have motion blur on in this scene as it was a "for client" version of the scene. I use motion blur all the time. I imagine many do. Are there plans to implement support? Thanks!

(I'll verify if this is the cause once my system is done rendering the project)

The RTX features are updated in each release, so yes, probably the motion blur limitation could be resolved at some point.

Glad to hear! Landscape don't work too well with post 2D blur. Neither do spinning blades. :)
