I set focus to the scene in Octane, But when I click "Render Animation" in maya2octane it is not renderer with the focus that I set
Anyone can help?

octane does not keep a focus

It's not a bug in the exporter, but a problem in Octane. It will be fixed with the next test release planned this week.michaelkk wrote:I import a file with animation from Maya to octane using maya2octane exporter,

Forgot to mention: What you can do in the meantime is specify the focus distance in the export plugin, which will then export it to Octane to use the right focus.

Thanks for the answer...
How can I find the focus distance?
Windows 7 64 bit | 2x NVIDIA GTX580 | 24GB Ram
In the export plugin it's called "Focal Depth".michaelkk wrote:abstrax wrote:Forgot to mention: What you can do in the meantime is specify the focus distance in the export plugin, which will then export it to Octane to use the right focus.

Either somehow in Maya (I don't know Maya) or by waiting for beta 2.48, which will do that for youmichaelkk wrote: OK

Octane calculates the distance by build the square root from the length of the subtract result vector camera to vector target.
Clever, nice new feature

@michaelkk
You can also use the formular to calculate the distance in maya.
Maybe as expression...
