Hello !
I'm trying to render a scene using XParticles with an Octane VR Camera in Stereo and it doesn't work, there is some weird things happening (see render below).
I've tried many render settings, with and without caching the particles and I'm stuck...
Does anyone have an idea ?
Thanks !

There's not any different for stereo or normal rendering for particles and caching. It's still one frame. I think it's a different issue.

Yes, it's a different issue because i've tried with a classic camera and I have the same problems...
It's a really simple scene with particles emitting from an object and follow its surface with trails...
I have tried to rebuild my scene from scratch in a new project but it doesn't work...
I don't understand what i'm doing wrong

OK it seems to come from the "render as hair" in the octane object tag because i've tried using a spline mesher and the render is working (see render below)aoktar wrote:There's not any different for stereo or normal rendering for particles and caching. But it inscrease drastically the render time per frame...
Any idea why the "render as hair" do that ?
Thanks

It definitely comes from the hair render.
I've tried using the octane object tag on the xp-trail object but it doesn't work.
I've tried using the hair object with the xp-trail object as link but it doesn't work either.
I always have these weird artifacts or glitches when I render the scene...
Here is attached my c4d file..
Please HELP !

So glad I've seen others are having this problem and it's not just me, been hitting my head against a wall thinking I was doing something wrong.
Same problem, trying to render xpTrail object with either an Octane Object Tag, or with the Hair Object and both are causing these odd glitches, identical to yours, and regular crashes.
Seems Hair rendering is broken in v4.02.1-R3 (and R2, haven't tried any others).

Was this ever resolved? Currently having problems rendering hair with XpTrails. Getting glitches + artifacting similar to original post. Eventually just crashing out.
Works with xpSplineMesher.
Running
C4D R20.059
Octane v4.05-R5
