I can not get the Light ID's to hold between live view, render and re-open.
CORRECT - Live View (White light only appears on the Blue Wall)
INCORRECT - Render View (White light appears on everything but the Blue Wall)
INCORRECT - Close and re-open file (Light IDs have completely changed on there own)

Nobody could help you without a sample scene and are you sure it's a bug? So pls a scene as noted.

What do you mean am I sure it's a bug???? When I render to the Live Viewer it renders one thing and when I immediately press render to Picture Viewer it renders differently. what else would it be... This occures on any file that I build using Light linking Invert.aoktar wrote:Nobody could help you without a sample scene and are you sure it's a bug? So pls a scene as noted.

Sometimes people tweak wrong settings and thinks that's a bug. I see that's too much.

It looks like its because you have #3 inverted which is cancelling out the setting on the pillow wall (turning it back on)
If you add an Octane tag to the Plane, and then uncheck 3 on that one, while re-checking 3 on the pillow case wall, it renders as you show in the "correct" frame

This works if I'm only dealing with 2 objects(which is how I sent the test file to simplify things).... But if you look at my original post it's an entire room of objects, I'd have to add a tag to every single object and uncheck #3 to all of them.niestudio wrote:@natemac00

This also doesn't explain why when I render to live the live viewer I get one thing then the picture viewer I get another.
You can see in the below video that there is no reasoning for when it chooses to work or not.

Okay but you got the exact opposite of what I was trying to accomplish, the white light streaks should only appear on the Blue Wall.aoktar wrote:It maybe due to latest build with latest c4d sdk(20.057). Now on my wip version it's working different. see image.

There's a bug with light linking invert IDs. Do you wish a fixed build? What's os?
