I have 2 video cards a Titan and GTX-1080
And the Titan has no problem, but when I try to enable the GTX-1080 it does nothing (the 1080) then I disable the GTX-1080 it goes back to processing the image.

It use to work with earlier versions???
From the Newtek Forum.
I am running 3.08.1.0 ... (Licensed version) Lightwave 2015.3 (64bit)
And I have a Titan and a 1080. I enable the 1080 which is GPU0, I get an error.
It works fine with the Titan, just cant use both at same time. interesting it is
Octane recognizes the 1080 and knows it there??
Yes the video drivers are version 398.11

Thanks
Mike

Hi,

What error do you get? Perhaps the problem is that you don't have this GPU enabled for tonemapping, and at least one must enabled to see the rendering in progress.

Do you know if the Octane 3.08 Standalone has the same problem?

Thanks,
-Juanjo

Ok I loaded the 4.00.0.8 version plugin..

everything works except when I try to use the GTX-1080 card..
works fine with the Titan - Black ???

Image 8 is the error I get " RENDER FAILURE: the render can't be completed. Enable and check the log file for more details."

I looked at the log file and well did not see any thing??

It is a weird issue. Do you have these cards linked in SLI mode or something like that?

Thanks,

So in short, you say that none Octane 3.08 or Octane 4.00 work with your two GPUs enabled, right? Well, it is really a weird issue that must be system related for sure, because I don't have other reports about problems like that using multiple GPUs.

Do you know if Octane Standalone has the same problem while trying to render using the two GPUs?

Thanks,
-Juanjo
