hi, Ahmet
Why does the octane use so much RAM for compared to other GPU renderers?
I conducted the tests and the octane was the most demanding and compiling LV/PV slow.
1. I tried to load a mesh 45m poly - I received crash. Cycles4D (GPU) and RS 2.5.x - ОК
2. I reduced the mesh to 35.9 m poly-received crash (i know limit 36m poly and 72m tris)
3. I reduced the mesh to 31.4m octane came to life )

it`s normal?
+ Octane VS FSTORM

too much RAM uses octane

(i sent the scene in PM)
I tried to export orbx file. duration of export 16 min !!!! the file size was 9.2Gb!! The scene in cinema4d was 1.2 Gb
in Standalone I received crash

There is not too much to do for one very big mesh atm. Why do you use soo big meshes?

We'll test with the next build after 3.09 (2 releases from now), as there will be some changes.VVG wrote:hi, Ahmet

Аll renderers are on equal terms.aoktar wrote:There is not too much to do for one very big mesh atm. Why do you use soo big meshes?
I have the opportunity to compare GPU renders
Octane was one of the first GPU renderers in everything.
what happened that other renderers went around it so quickly?
even in this example with RAM and time compiling LV
