Hey Guys,
please find attached a screenshot and file. I'm not very used to passes in Octane, the last time I used it everything was a bit messy since tokens werent supported and I was told "not to use the cinema 4d save dialogue". Those times seem over and I am in the need of a matteshadow. In the LiveViewer, everything as suspected. When rendering, Black Shadows are a completely black image without alpha, colored shadows are just white, but reflections render nicely O.o

Only empty folders when using tokens or nothing written if using tokes without "folders" checked. Do I really need to name all my stuff by hand all the time?
I don't get it - everything works nicely when rendering via the normal c4d save dialogue - but the passes are without alpha. Seems like a minor fix and would make everything better.

It should be fine with 3.06.2. Pls try it.philmaron wrote:Only empty folders when using tokens or nothing written if using tokes without "folders" checked. Do I really need to name all my stuff by hand all the time?
There should be a reason why i've added extra saving section for passes!!! You've discovered one reason of that. Trust to the developers and go with adviced ways.I don't get it - everything works nicely when rendering via the normal c4d save dialogue - but the passes are without alpha. Alright! I trust in the developer, though there always can be legacy modules or optional parts, since there are multiple features inside the plugins, which sometimes (for me) exceed what the user might believe.
And - now - with 3062 it does the job with tokens. No minute too early for me
And if maybe one day there is a possibility to render relative directories by inserting "./" for "next to c4d file" and "../" for "directory up from where c4d file is" would be PERFECT!

Bumping this thread, seems like tokens are almost there. Works fine except for relative paths. Any news on using Octane passes with tokens and relative paths?philmaron wrote:Alright! I have not targetted to do this. What's reason of that being so important? Whole handling of passes are done by custom codes in plugin. Every request need to be coded by hand so.rleuchovius wrote: Bumping this thread, seems like tokens are almost there. Works fine except for relative paths.
