Image sequence
Moderator: juanjgon
I can not get the texture animation on the render - as a texture, I load the sequence of images. But the output is a static shot. In LW native render it's very easy options - you hust need set your image in image editor as sequence. I made all the necessary settings for Octane. But the result is unsatisfactory.

Hi,
The image sequences in Octane work like in LightWave once loaded the sequence in the image editor. The trick is that you must enable the materials update option (if you are rendering in update mode, in the render target root node options panel, or in the IPR window) because the materials must be updated to update also the texture sequence frame.
Thanks,

The background compositing is done by the plugin, it is not a native Octane feature, so it is only available if you save the images using LW image save functions (Render Globals, Output tab). You are not going to get the background if the images are saved using the native Octane passes saving functions. In this case, you must add the background in post.

I think I know you're problem. You have a image set up in Background composite in Layout and texture environment in your Octane Render target editor, correct? Just be sure to check "Alpha Channel" in your render target kernal, and you will see your background image from the "Effects-Compositing" Tab.

Thanks Alteris3D,
Yes, it's my problem and i check Alpha but if you save your animation with Octane Render Passes, he sup the background what's i understand because i check Alpha. It's good to have jpg option in render passes because saving with output Lightwave not premultiplied alpha and i have a halo under object
