I want to use an rgb image to make displacement.

The material I use is a Diffuse.
So to connect my RGB image to the displacement slot I guess I need to use a Greyscale image node to convert RGB to grayscale...but that doesn't work.

Anyone knows what am I doing wrong ?

Hi Paride,
thks for the help Paride

But even if I converted my bitmap to a 16bit TIFF black and white file it still doesn't work.

Wether I use a "RGB image" or a "Greyscale image" node.
It can't be connected to the displacement slot of the diffuse material.

Hi Fabrice,
you have to use the displacement node before the image node.
