For Users Experiencing Hangs When Downloading LiveDb Mats

To debug this issue, create a file C:\Program Files\DAZ 3D\DAZStudio4\octane_log_flags.txt and set it's contents to:

logPrefix
logTime
logFlushTime 100
logForceFlush
liveDBDebugging

Now run DAZStudio as Administrator. If you experience a hang or lockup when downloading from the LiveDb, paste the C:\Program Files\DAZ 3D\DAZStudio4\octane_log.txt file in this thread. You must be running DAZStudio as Administrator in order for the octane_log.txt file to be created.

You need to have installed plugin version 3.5.3.30 or later when doing the above.

It didn't work with version 3.4.5.29, but it did with 3.5.3.30.
Tested with "metal dirt v3 (2)"

Hi Paul,

You may have found a solution. After upgrading to 3.5 and running in Administrator mode, I've had absolutely no problems downloading from the LiveDB!

May I suggest updating to the latest version of the plugin, where this problem appears to have been resolved.

Thanks Deane. I was able to successfully download that material using the plugin. May I suggest trying to download it in Octane Standalone, and if that works, try again with the plugin. Let me know how you go. In the meantime I will submit the log to Otoy.

Hmmmmm ... standalone, I was able to load the material, then in Studio it loaded ok... but... I don't know why.
