Hello,
Can I please askl for a definite answer - is it possible to use sub-grid detail noise texture on a TFD volume when rendered in octane?
OR
Is it possible to apply a shader modifying scattering or absorption colors volumetrically? (say a 3D noise shader)?
Thanks!
turbulenceFD sub-grid detail question

Having the same question/request. The use of Sub-grid detail makes such a difference that I still use C4d renderer for TFD because I never found a way to have similar results with Octane.
Any suggestions?

I suppose that's a result of shader evaluation on voxels. See this samples with "3rd party shaders" option. It forces a shader sampling on voxel space of tfd.

well! That's all what i can do at the moment.Malaurny wrote:The use of "3rd party shader" works great with some tweaking, but the sub-grid detail is not taken into account.
