Octane Properties are cleared when open old scene

A. Operating System, including version (i.e. Win 7, OSX 10.11.2, Ubuntu 14.04, etc.)
B. Graphics Card(s) model (i.e. GTX 580 - 3GB, TITAN, etc.)
C. RAM Capacity (i.e. 6 GB)
D. Nvidia driver version (i.e. 7.50, 7.5.22)
E. OctaneRender Standalone version, if installed (i.e. 2.24.2, 2.23, etc.)
F. OctaneRender plugin version (i.e. v2.25 - 2.21)
G. Host application version, including build number if available (i.e. 3ds Max 2016 Build 18.0)

G. Host application version, including build number if available 3ds max 2016 18.0 sp3

Hello! I started testing the automatic material conversion that came with 4.18, and found a issue:
Every object's octane property(especially those proxy sources) is not converted as it was, and all value were set to empty.
the max scene was made by max 2013 + OctaneRender for 3ds Max 2.23.2 - 1.9
i think these properties should be converted too.

same here.

Some bitmap disappeared too, but I don't know how original materials were made. Need investigation.

I verified and reproduced the issue you had.
I encountered the issue you had in Version 2.23.2 - 1.9
but not with the latest stable version 2.225 - 2.22
I also had the same issue when I open a 2.23.2 - 1.9 file
with the latest stable version 2.225 - 2.22.
I think the issue you had is caused by the 2.23.2 version - 1.9 and not by 3.03.4 - 4:18
can you confirm this through a test please?

Hi
I heard that 4.18 can convert old 2.23.2 - 1.9 materials internally without those 2-stage converter scripts.
So i installed 4.18 and try to open max scenes made by 2.23.2 - 1.9 and this issue happened.

Thanks for the feedback.
This issue is now fixed in the new 4.19 release.
Go to the 'Tools' tab fist, activate the conversion system and restart max to have the converter enabled.
Let us know if you have other issues.

Thank you for fixing this so quickly! It works like a charm now.

But Max will crash if you try to open a 2.23.2-1.9 scene without activating the converter in tools tab first.

Could you share, even privately, a scene makes the same mistake?
