We all know that SketchUp doesn't have native UV handling. Applying a material to a mesh then saving the material to the sketchup model, seems to not save the linked textures EVER. I've tried moving into standalone to make materials there then apply them via LocalDB but am having trouble when moving to another system. I'd love to get this figured out cause the project I'm working on has a very specific brick pattern and accents.
I'm going to work around the localDb some more to try to get this working. Any workarounds or applications that may help would be appreciated. Cheers!

Have sort of a solution for this until we get the implementation of a proper sketchup uv plugin. Randomize material paint geometry in sketchup. Colour sample select in Octane Standalone and apply materials there, including normal maps etc. Material issues in SU are still a problem however - as noted in many other posts.
