With so many more users nowadays, can Otoy do something to encourage users adding shaders to the material database?
Our material database is still small compared to the maxwell render and vray database.
Can there things be done to make it reasier for users to upload their own shaders to the database?
Can this maybe be moderated etc?
It looks remarkebly similar to the database from the refractive software days. (populated with fewer users)

Keyshot did a similar thing and the materials DB grew very rapidly in just over a year and continues to grow.
+1 for larger material database. Especially architectural materials, need more stone, wood, concrete, bricks, plasters, wallpapers, cloth, etc...

Back in 2.0 beta days, I suggested they incentivize the DB by giving contributors ORC credits, and I think it was Marcus that said they would be doing something along those lines - which he agreed this would make the DB explode in size. It's on their list, for sure.
