Hi Paul,
WHen having an image assigned within the Object 'Painting'... it does not show in Octane.
Is that not possible and a known issue?
It seems ArchiCAD handels the image of the painting not as a material and therefor it is not shown?
I tried to morph the Object, but then the image is not shown in ArchiCAD either ;-(
hope there is a solution for this?
Let me know if you want me to send you a testfile.
greetz,
Edited:
With the tv object is works OK... (the TV object does show the image wehn making it a morph, so there is a big difference in Painting object and TV object)

Check the Octane material for the picture - does it have the texturemap in the diffuse channel? If so, it might be a UV mapping issue.

Hi Paul,
The Painting Object does not have an image for the dffuse map.
(The TV object obviously does.)
greetz,
PS
I have PM -ed you the PLN testfile.. just in case

During testing I noticed that with both (GDL) Objects, in ArchiCAD you can assign differtn images to the painting/screen,
but when opened in OCtane all objects have the same material, and therefor the same image. trying to figure out a solution, without having to make new 'paintings'... i.e. I can draw thin walls with texture.
but in the project I have to many paintings, and that will be too much work.
So I will try to find a solution for a few clicks
Hopefully this is an issue that can be fixed in future?

For the TV Object I have a solution by making the Objcts a Morph.. but that does regretfully not work for the Painting object

The painting object is also not exported correctly to Skectup or Cinema4D,
so this is outside Octane plugin.
I have reported this issue to the local helpdesk (Kubus = Dutch Archicad distributor/developer).
