Demo Version of Octane Render for C4D R17

I have downloaded and installed the latest Octane Render plug-in and Stand Alone versions for Cinema 4D R17. I read the installation instruction and I believe I have followed them exactly. I am running on the latest version of C4D R17.048, and I am running it on a Mac with Yosemite 10.10.5 OS, and a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M 4096 MB with CUDA Driver Version: 6.5.51. The Stand Alone seems to be working ok as I opened a generic OBJ file in that. I have opened a test scene file called "randomcolor.c4d", a file that was linked to on this forum and I cannot get anything other than a black screen to show in the Live Viewer Demo window. I have created a Octane sky object as well. When I render to the picture viewer, all I get is a black silhouette of the object.

I have been at this for hours now. What is going on?

Would you please check that you have the latest CUDA drivers installed? They are available from http://www.nvidia.com/object/mac-driver-archive.html

I think your CUDA driver needs to be version 7.5
