Hey there,

I'm new to Octane, and am trying to install it on a new machine. I am using the latest stable build of Octane (2.24?) and the latest production build of Lightwave (build2847). I have also updated the Microsoft runtimes as suggested in the manual, but Lightwave will still not recognize the plugin. I have double checked, and everything is 64-bit. Which rookie mistake am I committing?

thx

Hi,

The last stable 2.2 plugin is the 2.25.0.0, but anyway the 2.24 should work fine.

If you have the Octane.dll and Octane.dat files in your LightWave/bin folder, and the Visual C++ 2012 redistributable package installed, can you please add also to your LightWave/bin the attached .dll file? ... The problem can be that the Octane API needs the Visual C++ 2010 redistributable in the system, or the attached .dll, to work.

If this doesn't work, please let me know.
