Hello,

by using the Scatterobject with a Vertexmap, is there a solution for a falloff (size) making Objects bigger to smaller from Vertexinformation 100% to 0%?
I.e. having grass become smaller from Vertexpaintcolor "Yellow" to "Red"?

Octane 2.25 is installed.

thx, djart

Currently it's not possible i think. You may try to add a texture for this effect.

Just tick "Link to Distribution" in scale attributes of Scatter Object and set Distribution to Surface.

Are there any testfiles to check out how it works using greyscale textures?

What is a common workflow to get a Gradient/ Texture or else to work to get the desired falloffeffect for objectsize?
Information like turn on Link to Distribution dont helps very much.

I have set the gradient to radial, but it wont show up like desired.

Any detailed help is appreciated.

I recommend buying the Nitrovertex Plug In (just 25 Euros) from Nitro4D. It gives you great control over animated vertex maps.

And how does it helps me with my problem here?
I just need to get it done transforming bigger objects into smaller ones by either following a gradient/ greyscale or else?

Currently i am under timepressure and the scatterfunction (with scalefalloff), would be a huge timesaver but it seems theres no information on how to get it work properly...
