I have a pretty flat question.

Will particle based position, velocity, radius, etc from within x-particles (or even thinking particles) ever be able to effect the octane object tags particle rendering?

looking over the fence at arnold is making me VERY jealous.

Hi guys,
I am looking at getting into C4D to expand 3D skills and get a bit of mograph going. Having looked at X-particles, it is certainly part of the attraction for me to C4D. I would appreciate if someone could explain the limitations of Octane with X-particles at the moment (I will create another post with some other C4D/Octane queries). Can Octane render X-particles at all? Is it limited to only one light source as another post suggests? Complete C4D novice here... Any assistance appreciated.
Thanks,
Seeker

Do you mean the XParticles SDK side or the Octane SDK?

I could ask the XP guys for some advice on it if you think that will help.

cheers

We have limited features due GPU programming limitations. Also team should keep the performance while adding features. So any simple features for CPU renderers, here can be a nightmare. I'm hoping that everybody is on aware that's a GPU renderer.
