Hi,

during rendering an animation per Bongo|Octane in the background the focus to the foreground software is lost every new frame is started. For example during I write this post here I need to click on the writing field again and again every view seconds. So, it's not possible to use the computer during the animation is calculated. Please fix it soon as possible since I need to render a lot of animations and I would like to work on my machine in this time.

Ciao,
Micha

PS: I posted this question at the McNeel side too, because maybe the Rhino team can help here too. But maybe it's only Octane plugin related.

Does this happen for you when you render a sun study too? Or just with Bongo animations?

At the moment a sun study is calculated and there is no problem to write here. So it seems to be related to Bongo.
(Only I don't see a sun study effect at the animation, but I never did a sun study before, maybe I did something wrong. But I get frames rendered by Octane.)

I did a test and the Rhino renderer shows the sun study. Is there a trick needed for Octane? How to link the Octane sun to the Rhino sun? The Octane sun option shows a fix direction always.

The sun works if I use the Octane viewport and edit the sun properties, but not if I start a sun study animation. At the animation is one sun state shown only.

Thanks,
Micha

This is an example of how it works.

They work fine for me using Firefox.

The links are working fine on Chrome for me. I suspect you still have the sun turned on - you need to turn it off.

Great, got it, turned the sun off for the sun study. :)

You could add a note at the Octane sun that sun and sun study are independent, f.ex like this "for sun study animation be sure to disabled the Rhino sun".

Thank you,
Micha
