Shine through material

Hello,
I am struggling with making a material that lets light that Comes from behind pass through like in this baloon example.
With all these Transmission, Medium, absorbtion and what not things, I am a bit lost. Can anyone help me out?

Hi,
the easy way is to use a diffuse with transmission enabled mixed with a glossy, if your mesh has thickness, you can use a specular material with sss medium, play with the scale and roughness and remember that the absorption needs the complementary color of what you want to show. There should be some sss material examples in the aoktar scenes, i think :roll:

Watch scene scale, otherwise the sss can come out wrong
