You need to enable Kernel->Alpha Channel for the shadow passes to work. https://docs.otoy.com/#51Render%20Layer%20Passes

The same as in standalone.
You assign the different render-layers to objects of interest. Enable the render layers and set the needed active layer (what exactly - depends on what result you need). Get some result. Change the active layer if you need the different result.
