Hi, I can't seem to get x-particles motion blur to work in the newest stable release? Other objects blur fine.
could you tested the attached scene?Janmansilver wrote:Hi, I can't seem to get x-particles motion blur to work in the newest stable release? Other objects blur fine.

Hi aoktar,
I tested the attached scene with Xparticles 3 and motion blur works. EDIT: with C4D octane 2.22.2 test3.
However, the cam in your scene was not setup right, because I think you made it before you made some changes to the camera tag.
The good old shutter alignment was set to nothing, so I selected "before". Also there was set a timeshift of 25, set back to 0 and voila, motion blur is there.

Right, but it's not a mistake. I see this problem on old scenes. Propably this is some broken m.blur attributes(time shift, etc..) between old-new versions. I'll investigate the reason.ChrisVis wrote:Hi aoktar,

Hi yes I also tested the scene posted here - the particles simply disappear when activating motion blur in the Octane camera tag.
This is what happens when i open the file This is the render when not touching any settings I then turned on the tag, and the render goes dark / the particles disappear Caching did not help Tried switching between transform and point - still no particles Update: Hi sorry didn't see that you've already responded, thanks for so quick support, I'm running X-Particles 2.5 - maybe this could be an issue? I will try the settings suggested above then and will let you now at once.

Hi just tested with the suggested settings, but no luck here with X-Particles 2.5 and OctaneRender version 2.16.
following setting are wrong
try:
time shift=0
align. = before
enable particle engine

Hi
I tested with the exact same settings as suggested and still no particles. I've also tested with the latest beta (Octane-for-C4D-2.22.2-test3) and still no particles.
Maybe it's an issue with X-particles 2.5? I'm runnnings with a GTX 980.
