I have not a bad problem before like this.computer is crashing a lot when using octane viewport. Anyone get this problem. It's strange considering, I rendered out an animation that was going a few hours and not once crashed. Useless.
Do you use displacement?MaTtY631990 wrote:I have not a bad problem before like this.computer is crashing a lot when using octane viewport. Anyone get this problem. It's strange considering, I rendered out an animation that was going a few hours and not once crashed. Useless.

No other application running, is just 3dsmax and octane. Does it have any impact from the way scenes are designed? I ask because I just rendered for 40 minutes a teapot and plane object with full glossy materials in Pathtracing at 10000 samples and not once crashed. Now the scene I am specifically talking about is a bedroom and kitchen, but the problem is a lot of the meshes such as cupboards/drawers are not closed and may have open verts, double edges etc. Simply put a bit of mess close up. Can this cause problems for renderer. It simply runs in octane viewport for a couple of minutes in Pathtracing and the computer loses signal, then freeze, then crash.
Thanks
Thanks

It works fine with simple scene but as soon as I render interior, it crashes after say 5 minutes.
