Hey guys

So, since I updated from 1.5 to 2.3 (and in so doing switching from Maya 2012 to 2014) the transform-node on textures went from dealing with number of repetitions to scale of the source texture. Since then I'm having problems with tiling, specifically because it looks like it's mirroring the texture(?) or something. See image below, I have indicated seams.

I am aware of there being a option for this, called "Border mode" where you're supposed to be able to set the type of repetition but it doesn't seem to have any effect. Anyone know what's going on?

There was a bug in 2.0 where the border mode was incorrectly mapped but this was fixed in 2.3. I just did a test here in Maya 2014 and 2.3 and it all works as expected.

Yup. Seems like it's yet another thing that inexplicably just broke, since the update. The texture-node in my previously created shader has messed up borders, however if I create a new Image Texture node, with the exact same settings, it's working. Guess I'll have to go back again, and re-map those nodes as well.

Alright, that didn't work, but I found the problem. Creating a new scene, mapping a texture to a diffuse shader and setting "Border mode", all this works. Until you check "Use image sequence" and then everything breaks, rendering "Border mode" once again useless. Kinda critical to my use :(
